The Rockhill Filling Station is one of Perkasie’s historic restaurants, known as the “Place to Fill-Up!”. Located at 1710 Ridge Rd., the restaurant is often busy and full of happy returning customers. They’re best known for their exquisite breakfast, as they routinely have lines out the door on a Sunday morning. A huge part of this restaurant is its sense of community. A large base of people come in every day or every weekend and sit and talk together, creating a sense of family with each other and the staff. As an employee there myself, I hope to share the fun environment this restaurant has developed. 

Though the menu is always changing with the seasons and daily specials, there are some favorites from the breakfast and dinner menu that people seem to love. For breakfast, some of the most popular items include; pancakes, cream dried beef, any variation of the omelets, their breakfast sandwiches, and of course the bacon. For the dinner menu, the most popular items include; Chicken Croquettes, the Megan’s Melt, their burgers, and the fried cheese curds. 

The Rockhill Filling Station has many regulars who come in whenever they can. Tom Heyer, a frequent long-term customer for many years, rated the restaurant at, “8/10 (10 being the best) because of the food compared to others around and some employees have also become like family”. Andrew Reice, a student who often comes in with his family states “It’s a very friendly atmosphere that has great tasting breakfast, especially pancakes”. 

Overall, this is, in my opinion, a great place to eat that is affordable and has a fun welcoming environment. Their current hours are 7 am to 2 pm Monday and Tuesday, 7 am to 8 pm Wednesday through Saturday, and 7 am to 12 pm on Sundays. Stop by for any meal and comment your favorite down below!
