The Perk’s Pastas

Everyone loves stopping into The Perk for a bite to eat, whether it be after a big game, to celebrate a special event, or just because. No matter what you order, you simply can’t go wrong. However, the best piece of advice for all pasta lovers would be to try The Perk’s kinds of pasta.

For those that enjoy a little spice, The Perk offers a New Orleans Pasta, which includes chicken, shrimp, and sausage with penne pasta tossed in a spicy creole cream sauce. Even a server at The Perk, Alex Rapp, says he, “loves the shrimp and a little bit of spice.” If you have a shellfish allergy, feel free to swap out your shrimp for either extra chicken or sausage so you can still enjoy this delicious dish. This is also the only dinner that The Perk regularly serves with penne, but feel free to swap out your choice of noodle in any of the dinners.

Both the Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti and the Spaghetti and Meatballs come with spaghetti noodles and Pomodoro sauce, although you can feel free to ask for it on the side, or even just butter if you aren’t a fan of the Pomodoro sauce. A consistent customer at The Perk, Dean Rabago says the spaghetti and meatballs is his go-to and that “it’s always a good choice if you like spaghetti and meatballs.” While many people normally enjoy these same dishes with angel hair pasta, it is important to note that The Perk doesn’t carry angel hair noodles, so this may not be accommodated.

If you’re in the mood for some Gemelli noodles, don’t hesitate to try the Mac & Cheese or the Queso Chicken Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese goes beyond just the noodles and cheese and adds on bacon bits and toasted breadcrumbs for some extra taste. If you’re in the mood for something even more adventurous, feel free to try the Queso Chicken Mac & Cheese.

In the slight instance you go to The Perk on a special holiday or even some weekends, you may run into some more pasta dinners featured as specials, offering even more varieties of the noodles everyone loves. Recently, The Perk featured a Scallop Rigatoni Carbonara special, which as you may guess, offered rigatoni noodles.

The kid’s menu also offers a choice of noodles, whether it be Gemelli, penne, or spaghetti, and allows them to get it with Pomodoro sauce, butter, or neither. Don’t be afraid to ask for some grated parmesan to add to the pasta, or even feel free to order the kid’s mac and cheese, which features an American cheese sauce.

No matter what you order at The Perk for your pasta dinner, you can’t go wrong. Feel free to branch out and try new things you haven’t before, and as always, feel free to ask for your favorite noodle.
