The Perk is Ranked Pennridge’s Top Restaurant
With over twenty local restaurants in the Pennridge/Perkasie area, only one was an all-time favorite: The Perk, or as the locals call it: everyone’s favorite place. A hotel that was originally built in the 1850s, is now a family eatery with a wide selection of meals. However, The Perk is not the only restaurant locals like to go to. Restaurants in the area vary from pizza to wings, to fresh squeezed orange juice at Stella’s Cafe located on North Main St., in Sellersville, PA.
The top-rated restaurant in the area serves a range of soups, salads, bar appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers. The Perk offers a friendly, family feel with photo covered walls dating back to the late 1900s. The restaurant offers a full bar and three dining rooms. The food portions are generous, and customers get excellent value for their dollar.
The Perk claims to have a cozy atmosphere, which reflects the thoughts of Pennridge High school students. Rachael Hass who voted The Perk as the top restaurant says, “I love the Perk because it is super close to my house, the vibe is always super chill, and the staff are really nice!” Many other students love the Perk to gather with friends because they know it is reasonably priced. Another student, Shea Grourke, says he loves the Perkasie history inside, “Good food all around, and homemade bleu cheese. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
Pennridge’s second top rated restaurant is Hawkeye’s, located off of PA-113 in Perkasie. Hawkeye’s Country Tavern is casual dining with a multiple page menu offering appetizers, pizza, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and various entrées. Hawkeye’s has a similar setup to the Perk. They offer bar services and seated dining. Hawkeyes is described as a family friendly restaurant perfect for game days with multiple TV’s placed around the bar. Hawkeyes also welcomes vegetarian and gluten free items onto their menu. The responses from Pennridge students who voted Hawkeyes the best local restaurant all had one thing in common, the food quality. Hawkeye’s is a favorite of Mr. Hegen’s because he says, “They have good service and are supportive of the Pennridge family.’”
The third ranked Pennridge local restaurant is a small cafe located in Sellersville. Stella’s, which means “star” in Latin, is a charming spot to go out for breakfast or lunch. Stella’s House Blend Cafe is known for their popular locally roasted coffee, and baked goods. Their breakfast menu encompasses options such as waffles, omelets, and french toast. Pennridge students rated Stella’s as the third best local restaurant because of their own roasted coffee and cozy atmosphere.
Whether you are looking for a new place to eat at or gather with friends, you should definitely try one of Pennridge’s top ranked restaurants. Other local restaurants ranked well include JT Bankers, The Horse Tavern, Casale DiMaggio, Pomodorino Pizza, and The Country Place.
