FRESHMAN BOYS BASKETBALL/ COACH BEHRENS:
There will be an informational meeting for any freshman boy interested in playing freshman basketball this year. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 16th, at 7:15 AM (Rams time) in the Green Gym lobby. Any freshman boy who is interested in playing basketball should attend.
GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT:
Students, parents, and guardians are invited to attend our College Admissions and Selection Seminar on Thursday, October 24th, at 6:30 PM. In addition to providing information on the college application process, we will have a panel of admissions counselors available to educate everyone on the unique characteristics of the community college, state universities, and private colleges, as well as answer questions. The seminar will take place in LGI 3.3.
COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER:
There are a number of college visits scheduled this month. Among those visiting are Villanova, Bucknell, Manor, Lafayette, Rensselaer and Dickinson. The full list and registration information are available on Naviance. Stop by the College & Career Center, room 307, if you have any questions.
Bucks County Community College will be hosting a College Fair at their Newtown Campus on Wednesday, October 16th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. This event is free and open to all high school students.
Faith Christian Academy in Quakertown will be hosting a Christian College Fair on Thursday, October 17th, from 6 – 8 PM. The fair is free and open to the public.
Bucks County Community College will be hosting an Open House at their Newtown Campus on Saturday, October 19th, from 11 AM – 1 PM. Registration information is available in the College & Career Center, room 307.
The 2024 Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) Forum will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown. This is a free event for high school students; however, registration is required. More information is available in the College & Career Center.
GERMAN CLUB/ MRS. GOODRICH:
Attention German Club members, students who take German, and friends who are interested in joining our fun group: We will be having our first get together next week on Tuesday, October 15th, to celebrate Oktoberfest. We will be meeting in room 242 (Frau Goodrich’s room) from 2:20-3:45 PM. We will enjoy learning about the REAL Oktoberfest. There will be competitions such as Steinhalten and “Archery” (Almost like the real Oktoberfest!!). Please bring an Oktoberfest snack to share (whether store bought or homemade), bring your own drink, grab a friend, and join us for a good time. Reach out to Frau Goodrich if you have any questions.
PENNRIDGE ASIAN CULTURE CLUB/ MRS. RUSSELL:
Attention all spice lovers! Pennridge Asian Culture Club will be hosting a SPICY RAMEN CHALLENGE and TRIVIA game on Wednesday, October 16th. The meeting will be held after school at 2:30 PM in food prep room 379. We will have other snacks available if you’re not interested in participating in the challenge. The winner of our trivia will win a special prize! ALL are welcome – We hope to see you there!
SOCK-TOBER SOCK DRIVE:
Throughout the month of October, we are teaming up with “Socks for the Streets” and “The Giving Tree” to distribute socks to people suffering homelessness in Bucks & Montgomery Counties. Please drop off your NEW adult-sized socks in the main office.
