Stachowska believes that lots of foods are hard to get in your nutrients that are needed daily and supplements can help that problem. Stachowska takes supplements such as Vitamin D, Ashwagandha, Magnesium, Biotin, and Coenzyme Q10. Stachowska says taking Vitamin D is a good start since it’s needed to keep bones, teeth, and muscles healthy. Making sure you know what you’re taking is key because taking too much or too little of something will affect you greatly. Also, consistency is important with supplements since your body will adapt to your routine.
Kris Staib, a student at Pennridge High School and common gym-goer, is new to supplements but has his own insight on some he takes and some he is researching. “I want to try Ashwagandha because I’ve heard really good things on TikTok,” Staib says. Staib takes multivitamins and fish oil supplements daily. Fish oil is one of the best sources of Omega-3, which is a fatty acid that is super beneficial for health. Multivitamins are also very good for everyone to get in all the crucial vitamins needed daily. “Supplements are fairly priced, but I would like them cheaper,” Staib states. Supplements are a bit pricey at times, but it is worth every dime to get those nutrients that a lot of people miss out on.
