There is always one person who is fantastic at everything but does not even try. The person who is so flawless with no effort in everything in their life and everyone is so envious of them, well, that person is Phoebe Anton. Phoebe Anton is a senior at Pennridge High School. Phoebe is a straight-A honors and AP student who also involves herself with multiple after-school activities, not just with her sports, such as ice hockey, soccer, powderpuff football, and horseback riding, but also with her job at Tabora Farms. Phoebe has been a member and player on the Pennridge girl’s ice hockey team and Pennridge women’s tennis team for three years and the class of 2025 powderpuff team for four years. Horseback riding has been her hobby for almost 10 years, and soccer, which she has played for 13 years. Her most outstanding achievements come from her tennis, powderpuff, and horseback riding career. Phoebe is an only child with two loving parents who separated when she was young. She surrounds herself daily with people she loves and cares about, including her best friends Sophia Rosica and Annalise Lanteigne and her cousin Avery Riley.
Phoebe is an essential part of the Pennridge women’s tennis team. Sophia Rosica is Phoebe’s teammate, and she speaks very highly of her. She shared that “Phoebe always brings the fun to practice; she constantly talks with teammates and keeps the mood up. She is always goofing around and having fun with it, never taking it seriously; overall, she is a great example and confidence booster for younger players.” Phoebe has a great personality and brings a lot to the team; she is not only a great personality, but she is also in one of the best duos on the team. Phoebe Anton and Erin Farr are a duo team, and they have one of the best records in the past fifteen years, losing only two games the whole season. This legacy will be the record that others try to break.
Joseph D’Auito is the tennis and powderpuff coach and has coached Phoebe for years. He believes Phoebe’s greatest strength includes “she is never afraid to ask questions and her main goal, I truly believe, is to have fun.” He also believes the outcomes of the Powderpuff team would not have been the same for the wins in the past three years if Phoebe was not on the team. Phoebe got most of the tackles, saying,” Defense won all four years primarily to Anton’s ability to get to the backfield.” Getting the wins would have been immensely difficult if Phoebe was not there.
Phoebe is a great performer on the field and court and a fantastic performer in the show ring. Phoebe rides in Gymkhana horse shows and does various types of speed events. She loves and takes good care of the horse she has worked with, Mishka. Phoebe rides at the Buxmont Riding Club and receives the “reserve” award, meaning she got second place for the 2024 season. Phoebe received a total of 108 points for three rounds; she raced on a different horse for the first round, so that did not count towards her year-end total, making her get second place; if they counted it, she would have gotten first place.
Phoebe’s cousin, Avery Riley, says one of her favorite things about Phoebe is that” she can be so unprepared, not knowing where her tennis racket or uniform is, or being up all night until midnight and get up three hours later and get second place at her horse shows. Phoebe can be unprepared but successful at everything she does.” She is flawless at her sports and could not study for a test and get the best grade out of the group. She could not practice her field goals for Powderpuff but cannot miss one during the game.
One of Phoebe’s biggest challenges is getting rid of her nerves before a game or show. Phoebe may come across as cool and collected and she does not let anything bother her, but she does, in fact, get bothered and nervous. She must be able to power through her nerves and perform well no matter what.
Phoebe Anton fills her schedule with many activities, but she always manages to be successful in everything she does. Everyone has at least one positive thing to say about Phoebe and how she lights up every room she enters. All the activities Phoebe does would be the same with her.
