The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fought for the 55th annual Super Bowl Championship title on February 7th, 2021 at the Raymond James Stadium. Coaches Andy Reid, the Chiefs coach, and Bruce Arians, the Buccaneers coach, diligently worked to train their teams for this very moment under the stadium lights with millions of people watching.

The game began with the singing of the National Anthem by Eric Church, a well- known country singer, as well as Jazmine Sullivan, an R&B singer. Followed by the National Anthem was the coin toss. Suzie Dorner, an ICU nurse and Revere High School Alumni representing the medical personnel in the US Covid-19 pandemic, did the coin toss which led to the Kansas City Chiefs starting off the game.

The first quarter score started off with Harrison Butker kicking a 49 yd field goal for the Chiefs, giving them a 3 to nothing lead. Gronkowski then finished off the first quarter with a touchdown thanks to a pass from his teammate, Tom Brady, leaving the score 7-3 for the Buccaneers. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers then led the rest of the game coming out with a 31-9 win against the Chiefs.

Tom Brady, a newly signed team member to the Buccaneers, helped to take the team to victory and was named MVP of the 2021 Super Bowl. Brady was originally a quarterback for the Patriots from 2000 to 2019. Brady leaving the team and joining the Buccaneers was a huge upset for the Patriot fans.

New England Patriot “super fan” Kareena Khurana was heartbroken by the news that Brady was no longer playing for the Pats. When asked about whether the Patriot super fan was going to root for Tom Brady’s new team “At first I honestly didn’t even watch the bucs games because I was rooting for the worst for brady. He had left us so why did he deserve to do well, but as the season went on and the pats started losing more and more games with Cam Newton and made no plans to fix it, I realized that the reason I enjoyed football wasn’t the patriots, it was Tom Brady. Ever since then I’ve been a bucs fan.”

Tom Brady took a chance and went to a team whose stats were not the greatest and turned that team around for the better. The Bucs 2019-2020 season ended up with a 7-9 overall for wins and losses, but this year ended with 11 wins and 5 total losses.
