Wawa Dinner is a Hit

Launching on Feb.1, 2021, a brand new dinner menu was made available to the public at Wawa locations all over the country. Featuring juicy burgers and fries as well as pasta bowls, which mind you are all customizable from top to bottom. From a creamy alfredo sauce with chicken or marinara with meatballs and several selections of toppings make for a new interesting way to satisfy dinner needs. Dinner at Wawa begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 12 a.m. making it a selective time-only item.

Hundreds of customers are fans of the new options and have started coming at dinner time for the food specifically. A burger is $5.99 and with fries there a combo deal for $6.99. The burger is completely customizable which some like and others find overwhelming and want a premade option such as a bacon cheeseburger. With the new options come new changes for improvement. Most people feel they get adequate portion sizes and that the price is fair for the quality. It’s a quick easy way to a burger or pasta.

Wawa employee, Ryan Maiden, who works specifically in the Deli making food, gave us an inside scoop on the new menu. When asked about what his favorite item on the menu was, he said the fettuccini alfredo pasta bowl was. Ryan said, “Fettuccini Alfredo is just one of my favorites, it’s right there and only takes a total of about three minutes to make; I get mine without broccoli though because I’m not a huge fan of vegetables.” Then there were also comments from an outside source at the YMCA, a frequent flyer at Wawa. Kyle Creighton explained, “I love the burgers and fries because it switches things up; instead of a hoagie I can get something hot. It’s still the same fast quick food but keeps the good taste Wawa always promises.” He also mentions the combo deal is his go-to. Overall most people seem to be fans, and while there are still quirks that need to be worked out, people keep coming back.
