Café at the Mill/ Dam Good Café Review

Café at the Mill/ Dam Good Café Review

One of our favorite places to go on a sunny day is the Cafe at the Mill in Sellersville, PA. This local cafe is owned by the parents of two students here at Pennridge. Along with The Mill, they also own the “Dam Good Cafe” located in Dublin, PA. Both small businesses have the same menu consisting of delicious breakfast and lunch options. The Mill is also open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. The Mill’s motto is “Fresh. Local. Friendly,” and they live up to it from every aspect.

One of the Mill’s most popular options for breakfast is the sticky-bun French toast. This is a special that is only on the menu on certain days. Served with or without nuts, the sticky bun French toast is heaven on a plate. It is a cinnamon bun cooked into French toast, topped with a sweet cinnamon glaze, and drizzled with maple syrup. This meal is truly one of a kind. Former Pennridge student, Hartlee Adelman, has been working at the cafe since she was 14 years old. six-year waitress Hartlee Adelman claims that she, “takes orders for sticky-bun French toast served non-stop on days that it is a breakfast special.” That statement in itself is enough for me to order it.

The Mill also has lots of different coffee options. They make lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, flavored hot chocolates, and many other hand-crafted beverages. The Mill has so many different flavors to choose from and options for iced and hot drinks. Their list of flavor options is never-ending, as they have a double-sided paper full of all the flavors. No matter the season or holiday, The Mill has a drink to pair.

The Mill also has great lunch options. Pennridge senior, Jamie Murray claims that her “favorite item on the menu is the crispy chicken wrap.” The crispy chicken wrap is another top seller at the cafe. The wraps are a big hit for lunches at the Mill. Recently, the Mill added dinner options to their menu, for sale on Friday and Saturday nights. Their entrees consist of burgers, salads, wraps, tacos, pasta, and even seafood! This addition added options to the menu that are incredible!

After speaking with a waitress and a regular customer at the Mill, we would highly recommend Cafe at the Mill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu has so many options for both food and drinks. The food is great, the drinks are crazy good, and the service is very good as well. The atmosphere is perfect. I also really enjoy that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. This is great for sunny, summer days. Without a doubt, the Cafe at the Mill will be an option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
