Kittens and Coffee

Ashley petting ‘Old Man’ and sipping coffee in the Crowded Cat Room window

Bond with a cat, browse the shop and sip some coffee. The MeWow Cafe is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, located on 3617 Old Easton Road, Doylestown Pennsylvania. This cafe’s purpose is to provide a home and be a showcase for Kitty Junction and A Bigger Purpose Kitten Rescue. These organizations are nonprofit and focus on the well-being of stray kittens and cats. Those interested in meeting the cats must make appointments, which are for 30 minutes, and include a fee of $10.00 per person. Waivers must be signed before entering the kitty crowded room, stating that you will not abuse the cats and will not sue in the rare occurrence of personal injury.

Meet The Cats
The cafe provides descriptions of each cat’s personality, giving visitors background on their behaviors and likes. To introduce the current cats for adoption, here are brief overviews with pictures.

It was such a relaxing way to spend a rainy afternoon. Sitting on the floor, sipping coffee, playing with, and surrounded by energetic kittens added a highlight to the week. Knowing that they were all up for adoption, it was nice to sit, observe and connect with each of them. When asked what her favorite part of the cafe was, Darlene Wilson responded, “The animals drew me there and they didn’t let me down. They each had a distinct personality,”. Wilson has also posed the question, if her expectations for the cafe were met, she responded, “I was actually pleased with the actual Cafe. The girl running it made it enjoyable. She quickly filled drink orders, answered questions. And had a good system of operation.”

Adoption
It is explained that the cats are not sold to the first person that wants them. Adopters interested must fill out forms and they must be evaluated. Then, a decision is made if the individual is right for the adoption of the cat or kitten. Each cat is $90, while bonded pairs are $120, in hopes to keep them together. Each cat is spayed or neutered, and up to date on vet records. Wilson says, ”And the reason I’d go back is they offer a very very good deal. The cost for one cat is $90.00 and for two, $120.00. That’s more than fair as the cats have their shots and vet clearance already. No subsequent vet bills! They offer special pricing for two cats as they like to keep siblings together”. Visit the MeWow Cafe, sip some delectable coffee, and see if a kitten is meant for you.
