“Absolutely life changing. From the moment the opening scene lit up the screen, I knew A Minecraft Movie was going to be something truly special,” Ricardo Avila expressed. A viewer of the movie who wanted the world to know how it has positively impacted his view on life. This is just one of many reviews on A Minecraft Movie that appeared to change the lives of people throughout the world.
The movie is not just about the game and how to play, but the adventures of all the characters involved, and how they come together. These characters include Steve, Garrett, Natalie, Dawn, and Henry. When they are all faced with the challenge of being sent into the Overworld, they need to work as a team with the help of the character Steve, who is played by Jack Black, to escape and get back home. They needed to do this by using their individual qualities, which make them unique, to fix the problem together. By using their skills, they are mastering the world and protecting it from evil. Some of the evil characters are Piglins and Zombies.
By reconnecting with their creative skills, they will help them realize that these skills are what will make them thrive in the real world. Critics raved very highly about the presentation of the movie. The visuals and graphics were “off the charts incredible.” The game Minecraft is a 2011 sandbox game. It was developed and published by the Swedish video game developer Mojang Studios. The very first public alpha build was released on May 17, 2009. In the game, players are meant to explore a three-dimensional world. Players can discover and extract raw materials, craft tools and items, and build structures, earthworks, and machines. Depending on how difficult the player would like to experience the game, they can choose to fight hostile mobs, as well as cooperate with or compete against other players in multiplayer. Although A Minecraft Movie does not cover all of the smaller ideas of the game, the point of the movie is to show the story of the main characters involved, and how they work together to get the job done.
Many people thought that the movie would be “overhyped” or just not as good. “I didn’t go into the film with the highest expectations. But overall, I really liked it. The storyline was fun and exciting,” Jack Morton said. Some people who have never played the game or watched the movie may be on the fence on whether or not they should watch “A Minecraft Movie.” “Yes, I would recommend someone who hasn’t played the game to watch it. It won’t give them a sense of the game. You have to play the game to really understand it. But overall, it’s fun to watch if you’ve never played it before,” Morton said. In reference to the game and whether the movie replicated it well, Dhanyaal Omar said, “No, not at all. I think they made it look too realistic compared to the game. They kept the blocky nature but didn’t really replicate it. It didn’t quite give the same feel that the game would give, but it still worked with the live-action characters.” Although many different things can take place in the game, the movie followed a very specific guideline. Omar said, “The story didn’t feel like anything that wouldn’t happen in the game because the characters were people before they fell into the world. But I feel like it went into a completely different direction.”
A Minecraft movie has been portrayed as overly humorous and adventurous. Even though the movie does not follow many of the ideas of the game, the overall idea of a block world, and the characters are still there. There has been some talk about whether a sequel should be made or not. Omar said, “Yes, it would be funny to see one. I would definitely watch it for the sake of it. But I don’t know what they would do to the story since it ended with them all being in the human world and rounded off quite nicely.” This is just one of many perspectives on this idea. The movie has an overall rating of 4.2 and was enjoyed heavily. A movie crafted for kids and adults, and will never be forgotten!
