Enjoying breakfast at the Mill

The smell of coffee, comfort, and coziness fills the air at the Cafe at the Mill. It was built on the original grounds of the mill in 1737. The mill, destroyed from weather and neglect, was successfully renovated a few years ago. It now has the name Bucks Mill and is owned by Shane and Staci Dam, who also own the Dam Good Cafe. Not only does this beloved building have a long and beautiful history, it also has amazing food.

The diner food here is fast and easy to order. If you’re ever looking for a place to sit down with your family for breakfast or lunch, this is the place for you. The family atmosphere welcomes you the moment you drive on the property. Not so easy to convince? If not, then you can read our news groups’ reviews from the past Sunday when we went to the Cafe at the Mill. Let’s look at some of the highlights:

  • Phina Mason: “I got the breakfast combo with french toast. My eggs were good and cooked perfectly and I loved my chocolate milk”.
  • Hannah Laincz: “It came with breakfast potatoes which were delicious. I would say that the burrito was an 8/10 and the potatoes were a 10/10. I also got the vanilla chai latte which was delicious 10/10”.
  • Noah Wolf: “I got some french toast and it was pretty good”.
  • Tori Ruth: “I got buffalo chicken omelet with hash brown and white toast. It was all very good. I believe the omelet was a good thing to get since I wasn’t ready for lunch just yet but was a little past breakfast so the spice gave it a feel of both. I also got Ice chia with vanilla latte which was very good 10/10”.
  • James Peuplie: “Food was great, brought it home and ate it afterwards. The service was amazing and extremely responsive. I had the peppermint mocha iced latte and I’d honestly wake up every morning to go and get that drink!”

It was an amazing experience for our team. The food was hot and the lattes were delicious. When it came to interviewing the waitress, Carley Mains, she says that if you’re a new-goer and don’t know what to get, she recommends the “breakfast blt,” and you might want to avoid the busiest hours of “Sunday 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m.” or choose to go during the non-busier time at “Friday or Saturday around 3 p.m.”. She was a happy waitress for us and was very attentive.

Not everyone has an opinion on the cafe at the Mill, however, we asked a customer, Gryphin Dean, about his experience there. He claimed that “it’s good,” and as for going back, says “yes, but it’s not a go-to.” The Cafe at the Mill doesn’t have to be a go-to, however it is a comforting place if you just need a quick bite to eat. Not to mention, the Mill is also environmentally safe as they use paper straws aside from plastic. Overall, the Cafe at the Mill is a great place to bring family and friends to get a bite to eat in the heart of Sellersville.
