Lil Uzi Vert is a well-known and critically acclaimed rapper from Philadelphia who has an instantly recognizable car collection, all wrapped in anime vinyl. Uzi is one of the biggest artists of the later 2010s, has collaborated with almost every major rapper under the sun, and making waves with every album release. Lil Uzi Vert is currently gearing up to release his next album, “The Pink Tape”, his first album since his 2020 collaborative album with future, titled “Pluto x Baby Pluto.”. Fans always see Uzi’s Audi R8 as he drives it around Philadelphia, his hometown. This car is one of the most well-known when it comes to rapper’s cars, and it was certainly the first that comes to mind while writing.

Lil Uzi’s Audi R8 FSI is very eye-catching due to its eccentric anime-styled vinyl wrap. The car was built by Car Effex, where they customized the R8. Uzi’s car has an Alpil Widebody kit with spacers to push the wheel outward and match the slammed look the vehicle gets from being on lowered springs. Car Effex also installed Sparco bucket seats and a start light headliner that says “Vert.”. They chopped the steering wheel to make it look like an airplane yoke and added a roll cage. The car was finished with 22” Forgiato wheels and a JL audio sound system. Underneath the car’s exterior design is a rear-engine Audi 5.2L V10. The 5.2L feels out of place in today’s world, but according to R8 drivers, that’s perfectly okay. The 5.2L is a big, naturally aspirated engine that pushes 532 hp at 7,800 RPM. The 5.2L V10 goes against today’s small, low-power engines that trade performance for better mileage. The 5.2L started in the Audi R8 but moved to power Lamborghinis starting with the Gallardo and eventually in the Huracan. The 5.2L’s most ingenious feature has to be the racing-inspired oiling system that uses a dry-sump to minimize the engine’s vertical height, allowing it to sit lower in the engine for a favorable center of gravity. The dry-sump system also helps reduce oil starvation during hard cornering.

Pusha T’s Ferrari 488 Spider
Pusha T is arguably one of the best to do it since the mid-2000s, but he does not always get the recognition he deserves. Most members of the hip-hop community would agree that his 2018 album, “Daytona,” is one of the best rap albums of the 2010s. “Daytona” is a seven-track album entirely produced by Kanye West. It clocks in at 21 minutes and 10 seconds, but its short runtime helps it feel incredibly cohesive and straight to the point, making it an easy but amazing listen. “Daytona” is the pinnacle of what Pusha T is: an aggressive and braggadocious coke rapper. Pusha T’s Ferrari 488 Spider is seen in the music video for the intro track off “Daytona,” titled “If You Know You Know.” This music video has Pusha T showing off some of the speed that this car is capable of, and it complements the song perfectly. Pusha T continued onto more success after “Daytona,” with his 2022 release “It’s Almost Dry,” hitting number one on the Billboard 200.

Pusha T’s Ferrari 488 Spider is an exquisite vehicle. Perfect white and tinted by “The Art of Tint” in Brooklyn. The 488 was the successor to the 458. The 458 was notable due to its performance and aesthetics. The 488 has lived up to the title of successor, powered by an 8th generation V8. The engine is a 3.9-liter twin-turbo unit. The 488 Spider produces an incredible 661 horsepower and 561 foot-pounds of torque. The 488 spider has a 0 to 60 of just under three seconds. The 488 features the addition of forced intake induction from the 458. The bigger engine produces 100 more horsepower than the 458, but the RPM was decreased from 9000 to 8000, and the forced induction definitely muffles engine noise. However, the car does not compromise in terms of performance. However, the car does not offer a manual option as it only comes with a 7-speed automatic.

A$AP Rocky is an insanely well-known name in both pop culture and rap. Rocky’s most recent headlines come from having a child with Rihanna. Rocky has always been able to make sonically impressive and thematically cohesive albums such as “AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP” and “LONG.LIVE.A$AP”. Elijah Carter, a junior at Quakertown High School, told us that A$AP Rocky is “one of the best rappers of the 2010s”, and “has never missed.” Rocky’s style undoubtedly matches his car, which even non-fans would be able to appreciate.

A$AP Rocky’s 1967 Mercedes SL Cabriolet is a masterpiece of 60’s technology. The Cabriolet was a two-door roadster that had an inline-six engine with a displacement of 2.3 liters that pushed 170 hp. The Cabriolet was extremely slow as it had a 0-60 of 10.4 seconds. The Cabriolet also has a quarter-mile of 17.5 seconds. The car was very slow, but it wasn’t built to be fast. The SL Cabriolet was built to be a rare and exotic car on the road that not everybody had seen. To achieve the rarity that the Mercedes SL lineup had, they only made a car model for one year and then changed it, so the next one was just as rare as the last one. Due to this, the Cabriolet is still a very rare and desirable car to this day.
