AFTER SCHOOL INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT/ MAIN OFFICE:
After School Instructional Support will begin TOMORROW, October 1st, from 2:25 PM to 4 PM. Beginning this week, After School Instructional Support will be offered on both Tuesdays & Thursdays. Students can choose from Science, room 238, with Ms. Fusco, Social Studies, room 318, with Mr. Gombar, Writing Lab & English, also room 318, with Mr. Gombar, and Math – Algebra through Pre-Calc, room 238, with Ms. Fusco. The library is open Mondays through Thursdays until 3:30 PM and on Friday until 3 PM. Buses will be available at the Main Entrance and depart at 4:45 PM. You must sign up for the bus in the main office by 2:30 PM. We do not have a 4 PM bus.
CLASS OF 2025 – DISNEY TRIP:
Class of 2025 – Any senior who wants to attend the class trip to Disney must turn in the first deposit by TOMORROW, October 1st, to reserve a spot. See Mr. Hughes, Mrs. Grimshaw, or Mrs. Sheppard with any questions.
CLASS OF 2025 – SENIOR IDS:
Have you had your senior portraits done? Are you missing your ID? We may have the answer.
The photographers brought some senior IDs to us; maybe we have YOURS! Come to the House Office and check with Mrs. Fronstin or Mrs. Martin.
GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT:
College-bound Students: Tuesday, October 8th, the Guidance Department will be hosting a Financial Aid Seminar beginning at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. Fran McKeown from PHEAA will be here to discuss the financial aid process, give tips on applying, and answer questions. We encourage you and your parents to attend this very informative evening.
COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER:
Many College Admissions Representatives have scheduled visits to Pennridge throughout the next several weeks. Among those visiting are Johnson & Wales, Lycoming, Pace, Villanova, and Seton Hall. The full list and registration information can be found on Naviance. We encourage students from all grade levels to attend. Please see Mrs. Lewis in the College & Career Center, room 307, if you have any questions.
Our Marine representative will be in the cafeteria during lunches on Wednesday, October 2nd. Stop by his table if you’d like more information on this branch of the service.
BLACK STUDENT UNION/ MRS. SHEPPARD:
Are you interested in promoting proactive leadership and student empowerment? Then the Black Student Union might be for you. Join us as we present Good Black News or short Black History, play games, have academic check-ins, and enjoy each other’s company. BUCKS COUNTY DETECTIVES/ MS. MACNAIR:
On Monday, October 7th, at 1:00 PM, Bucks County Detectives will be at Pennridge High School with the Bucks County Crime Scene Van. Detectives use the van to process homicide and other significant offenses throughout Bucks County. Detectives will speak with students about processing crime scenes, collecting DNA, and obtaining fingerprints and trace evidence. In addition, detectives will speak with students about their careers in law enforcement. If you are interested in a career in law enforcement or forensics and would like to attend the presentation, please see Ms. MacNair in Room 109.
FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES (FCA)/ MR. ORLANDO:
Friends of Christian Athletes will be meeting Wednesday, October 2nd, for a time of fellowship. Come on out for a short Bible study and a time in prayer to start your day off right. We will be meeting in room 100 from 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM during RAMS time. You do not need to be an athlete or Christian to attend. All are welcome. See you there!
KEY CLUB/ MRS. GRIMSHAW:
Key Club is an international organization whose focus is on community service. The key characteristics that we uphold are leadership, character building, caring, and inclusiveness. If this sounds like something that describes you, you should join Key Club for the 2024-2025 school year! Returning members can find the membership form on the Key Club page and new members can find the membership form on your Canvas Class page. Once the form is completed AND a check for dues of $20, made payable to Pennridge High School, is submitted to Mrs. Grimshaw in room 372 or Ms. Hoffman in room 375, you may start recording your hours.
