The Perkasie Farmers Market is located in Perkasie Pennsylvania, and it is one of the town’s most popular events. From June through the end of October, the farmer’s market is outdoors in the center of Perkasie. From November through April, the event is located in the Perkasie Firehouse. No matter the location or time of season, the market is on Saturdays, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at noon. The farmers market on January 11 was an indoor event. Anybody from anywhere is welcome to the farmers market.
The market contains only small businesses from the Perkasie community, and they post a roster of the shops that will be there every week on their Facebook page a few days before the event. They also always have one table at the entrance with something to do with a charity or nonprofit organization so the Perkasie community can donate and help out a worthy cause.
When walking into the market, you are greeted in the parking lot by a man in a green bus and four to five Bernese Mountain dogs with the business known as the Dog Bone Guy. The dogs are always so happy to see their regular people and they are so friendly and well-behaved. Here, you can get all things for your dogs like treats, real cows, and other animal bones as well as natural pest repellents that do not harm your dogs.
Once you are inside the actual market, you are greeted with light music and so many different tables decorated in their own way. The indoor events have a place by the kitchen where you can order food such as breakfast sandwiches and items to eat while you walk around. Right next to the kitchen is Stag Artisan Coffee serving both hot and cold coffees with many different flavorings and creamers you add to your liking. There are so many tables where you can get different types of food like specialty sourdough bread, Vietnamese cuisine, specialty pickles and so much more. Not only are there so many options for food, but they also have tables with crafts and tables for your pets. There is genuinely so much for everyone at the event. Avery Riley shared that her favorite tables include “the art ones where they always have artwork hanging up and for sale along with the jewelry too… I especially like to go to get gifts for family.” No matter your interests, you will be able to find something you like and enjoy looking at at the Perkasie farmers market.
The Perkasie Farmers Market is one of the top-rated farmer’s markets in Pennsylvania with hundreds of great reviews. People enjoy the selection of vendors as well as the location. Most compliments about the location come from the event in the summer. Alannah Crozier has been to both locations of the event but says “I prefer when the farmers market is outside because it feels more open and I like the fresh air… sometimes the indoor farmers market can get too crowded and overwhelming.” Many farmers’ markets only take place in the warm months and outside, but that is one thing that makes the Perkasie farmers market so special. They try to have a year-round event so everyone can have their Saturday traditions with their families!
