Regular AI can analyze data, recognize speech, or play games, but may not necessarily create new content. An example of AI is Siri. Businesses should include both types of AI if they would like to improve their business.

In fact, not only have 97% of business owners claimed they are incorporating AI into their businesses but nearly 25% of business owners worry about AI negatively affecting website traffic. John Mikulich, Senior Network Engineer at Meridian Bank, stated, “I worry that AI will open up too much technology which may cause more cyber attacks”. John Mikulich believes that with AI opening more technology, businesses will be at a more vulnerable place against hackers. Although, this isn’t always the case.
On the other hand, 83% of business owners claim that AI is their top priority for improving their company. Robyn Mikulich, Associate Vice President for Customer Engagement and Experience in the Commercial IT Organization at Merck, claims, “AI is being leveraged across the whole company while Gen AI is currently being leveraged to drive operational efficiency internal to Merck”. With AI, Merck is way more efficient and can get a lot more done in a small amount of time. When asked about how Merck uses AI, Robyn Mikulich said, “When we apply AI, it is to save and improve lives”. AI helps Merck carry out their company mission of “saving and improving lives”.
Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing business by ultimately driving efficiency and innovation. AI provides and new and quick way of completing business missions when incorporated. AI is the new way of advancing in businesses and the only way to keep up with other businesses is to incorporate it.
