Since 2018, fans have been patiently waiting for season four of Stranger Things, and soon the wait will finally be over. Fans’ hearts were crushed with the abrupt ending in season three, where Officer Hopper’s sacrifice killed him. Nonetheless, we all know that this is a wild show that always throws us for a loop. This new season will be sure to turn you upside down. The first Stranger Things four teaser revealed that Officer Hopper had miraculously survived and was now a prisoner in Russia. Fans will soon discover the truth about what happened to Officer Hopper. What separates this season from the rest is that it is split up into two parts. The first part will be released May 27, 2022, and the second part will be released July 1, 2022. Each volume will consist of nine episodes which are each over 800 pages long. It took thousands of visual effects and shots to film and the runtime is near twice the length of any previous season. If it couldn’t get any better, there will even be eight new characters introduced. Fans are going to be giving this season an “Eleven” out of ten.

The show revolves around the friendships between Mike, Will, Lucus, Dustin, and their new telepathic friend, Eleven. When Will mysteriously vanishes, the people of the small town begin to uncover secrets of a government lab, portals to another world, and demon-like creatures called Demigorgine’s. These poor kids are just trying to enjoy their teen years but yet again poor Will will undergo more trauma. In season two, he is taken over by the Mind Flayer, and Joyce, Bob, and Officer Hopper take him to the lab to be treated by Dr. Owens. On July 4, 2019, season three is released and, if you haven’t seen it, it is sure to blow you away. Following the characters’ battle with the Mind Flayer, the Starcourt Mall is destroyed by a fire following the kids’ battle with the Mind Flayer. To save Joyce and the children, Hopper sacrificed himself at the giant gate that the Russians had built under Hawkins. But the season four trailer relieved that he is still alive and is a prisoner in Russia.

Many fans acknowledge Officer Hopper’s sympathy for others. When Erin McCormick, a stranger things enthusiast, is asked who her favorite character on the show is and why she answers with “Hopper because he’s funny, he’s a really good actor and he cares about them all a lot.” Tyler Johnson, another fan of the show, also admits that Officer Hopper is his favorite character. One thing that Tyler said could be approved in season four is, “They could go more in-depth, and it could be a longer story.” This show has brought us countless beloved characters with a fantastic storyline. The Duffer Brothers are the creators of Stranger Things. These twin brothers, Matt and Ross, have had a passion for movies and TV shows since they were young. They spent their whole lives making short films, studying films, and writing numerous shows together. The release of their show Stranger Things proves that hard work pays off. After just a few episodes you will not just fall in love with the characters but the plotline as well. The show doesn’t fit into just one genre and it includes horror, drama, thriller, horror fiction, supernatural, and historical film. According to the Duffer Brothers season, four will be “the beginning of the end.” Since the premiere of the show on July 15, 2016, the show has captured our hearts. Although it’s sad the show is slowly coming to an end, this is a show that will make an everlasting impact on our lives.
