Recently, Phoenix, Arizona has been a booming destination for tourists. The climate is perfect for those who are looking for warm temperatures outside of summer. Daily highs in Phoenix during winter range from 70 to 74 degrees Fahrenheit. The warm environment makes Phoenix a top tourist destination during the winter season.

This past year, Super Bowl LVII was hosted in Phoenix. This game took place at State Farm Stadium, which is the home of the Arizona Cardinals. This game featured a matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs and resulted in the Kansas City Chiefs winning by a score of 38-35. This was the first time that the Super Bowl has been played in State Farm Stadium. However, Phoenix has been the host site for Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLIX which were played at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Super Bowl LVII was played on February 12, which made Phoenix an amazing host city for the Super Bowl because of the warm weather during February when other locations tend to be cold.

Another big event that took place in Phoenix was the first leg of the Taylor Swifts Eras Tour, which was held in State Farm Stadium. Before the tour started Swift had already broken the most tickets sold in a single day record. Swift performed on March 17 and 18 and both evenings were sellouts.

Another large event in Phoenix was the Waste Management Open. This tournament has become a very popular tournament for the PGA. This tournament is very unique because fans are allowed to yell and make noise while players are swinging. In other PGA tournaments, this behavior is prohibited. The Waste Management Open has always been played at TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course, and the tournament is always held at some point during February. This past year the Waste Management Open took place from February 6-12. TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course is perfect for hosting the Waste Management Open. The iconic hole at TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course is hole 16. This hole has a gigantic grandstand all around the hole. These grandstands can hold up to 16 thousand people at a time. This hole is also a par three which also allows players to hit very close shots and to hit hole-in-one’s. Throughout the history of the Waste Management Open, there have been 11 hole-in-one hits. Most recently being Carlos Oritz and Sam Ryder in 2022. It is estimated that each year the Waste Management Open has over 700,000 spectators every year. From both the beautiful weather and the loud and exciting environment, the Waste Management Open has become one of the most popular events in golf every year.

There is not much to complain about when it comes to Phoenix, Arizona. The weather is beautiful during the fall, winter, and spring. Recently Phoenix has become a tourist-friendly destination with lots of resorts, restaurants, and hotels being built in the area. The city has also become a popular host city for major events such as the Waste Management Open, Taylor Swift Concerts, and Super Bowls. So if you are looking for a nice vacation destination with nice weather and things to do then Phoenix is perfect for you.
