Lovely Lady Bugs Flying Their Way Into Your Heart

Lovely Lady Bugs Store

Imagine the perfect place to spend a day with your family. You can find this at Perkasie’s local shop Lovely Lady Bugs, “A consignment shop for you and your little ones.” Consignment stores are not just thrift stores; they pay you for your goods once they are sold. Lovely Lady Bugs is focused on not only you but your children. They have clothing that ranges from sizes 2T and above. Not only do they sell clothes for toddlers, but you can also find untouched, packaged toys. This store is family and locally owned, which brings in more customers from around the area.  A shopper, Connie Campione, speaks on her experience with customer service at Lovely Lady Bugs, “I think it is really good. They are always very friendly and seem to know the inventory well and can answer questions. They are always able to point me in the right direction.” She goes on to explain how just a simple friendly face can make her afternoon shopping sprees even better.

There are a few guidelines you must follow to consign with Lovely Lady Bugs. To start off, there is no limit to how much you bring in. All clothes must be freshly laundered and folded nicely in a bin with a lid. Along with clean clothing, all shoes must be in fairly good condition and washed before being brought in. If you want any unsold property back after a 14-day term, you can pull the merchandise out yourself. Lovely Lady Bugs will provide you with a date for pickup and contact you when items are priced and on the sales floor. The store offers store credit called Buy Out Right. Lovely Lady Bugs will take the amount you have to spend and put it directly into the account you have with the store. Buy Out Right doesn’t expire! Lastly and most importantly, first-time consignors have to make an appointment so the establishment can go over all the information with them.

A local donator of Lovely Lady Bugs, Keira Horensky, explains the donating process, “When you go to drop off items, they must all be folded in a clean bin with a lid. They require the clothes to be bought within, I think a couple of years, so they are not outdated. Also, if they decide they can’t take something, you can choose that they donate it themself somewhere else, or they can give it back to you.” She goes on to emphasize the fact that she will continue donating to this shop. Keira and her family continuously donate to Lovely Lady Bugs to support the small business.

Unlike Lovely Lady Bugs, Platos Closet sells name-brand clothing for a higher price. This store is more financially oriented as Lovely Lady Bugs does not focus on the money and doesn’t promote it as much. Platos Closet pays you cash for the clothing you bring in. After being carefully inspected, they will price your clothes, and you earn cash in return. Although sales are more expensive in the “thrifting world,” you can find high-end brands in great shape with a significant discount. Campione speaks her mind about consigning versus thrifting: “I think it is a smart way to buy and sell clothing because it reuses good clothes and it saves money with the high expense of other clothes right now. Thrifting, when you’re looking for something specific, is a great place to start to find something new.” Although Lovely Lady Bugs does not sell high-end brands, you can still find good quality clothing at a great price.
