The Fizzy Fern, a gourmet soda and beverage bar, is drawing attention in downtown Sellersville for its original handcrafted drinks, beautiful scenery, and cozy atmosphere. The Fizzy Fern is located inside Just One More Plant, founded by Erin Volovnik in August of 2024. Just One More Plant originally began in a strip mall in Quakertown, but has moved their location to a bigger space with “a more walkable area with more of a community aspect,” says Volovnik in an interview with WFMZ.
Co-founded by Kate Garrity, the shop offers a wide range of menu consisting of customizable sodas made with all-natural ingredients. Some common drink types include Lotus-based energy drinks, monthly signature lattes, lemonade refreshers, and more, all made with natural cane sugar! The shop also provides baked goods from White Squirrel Kitchens, including a delicious and wide variety of bagel options.
Garrity, who prepares drinks and manages the daily operations, said customers enjoy the wide range of flavors and combinations. “There are no real flavors as everyone likes something different, and there is something for everyone,” she exclaimed. Seasonal trends play a large role, too, with pumpkin flavors in the fall, gingerbread in the winter during the Christmas season, and fruity-flavored drinks toward the warmer months. Customer Emily Derderian praised the drinks for their natural taste, describing her “Root Rot” soda as “very unique” and less sugary than the store-bought options. She claimed the warm environment keeps her coming back: “It is very community-based and cozy.”
Beyond beverages, the Fizzy Fern and Just One More Plant business has become a center for local engagement. The shop frequently hosts craft workshops around the holidays, features small vendors, and participates in family-oriented programs, including a student-led program that allows kids to gift drinks to their favorite teachers. Additionally, the shop supports Alex’s Lemonade Stand for childhood cancer. These events have helped turn this shop into a lovely gathering space for people to relax, rather than just a random café.
The shop’s growing menu, friendly workers, and calming atmosphere have made it known as a “hidden gem of Sellersville,” explains Emily Derderian, and it has established itself as one of Sellersville’s newest local favorites.
