Located on Route 113 in Souderton, we have our very own taste of Philly right here in Souderton. A variety of fresh pretzels that are made from scratch are pushed out every day to satisfy the customers who are looking for a good snack. This is not just a place to grab a bite, though; it is an establishment that brings people together and creates a community. From a small business starting in a Philadelphia Neighborhood in 1998 to becoming a nationwide phenomenon. Dan DiZio and Len Lehamn created an empire and a way for people to feel a sense of community throughout the country for almost 30 years.
You might be asking yourself how some soft pretzels can become a community. Football Sundays are when the staff of Pretzel Factory notices the most community activity. “We make lots of orders for pretzel trays and large quantities of pretzels for others to get togethers,” says Charlotte Brennan, an employee at The Pretzel Factory in Souderton. People come in droves to the pretzel factory on Sundays because they want to be able to provide for the people that they are bringing together for a get-together or the Eagles Games on Sundays. The Pretzel Factory not only brings the public together but also creates a comforting feeling while at sports events for the surrounding schools. “Most Fridays and Saturdays, we get big orders from Souderton and Pennridge for their sporting events. During the Football season, we would get orders for 400 pretzels for the Pennridge snack stand,” says Brennan. These pretzels have a bigger impact than you think. They bring a sense of community and comfort to everyone in the area.
You have to give credit to the staff of Philly Pretzel for being able to serve us and give us the feeling of community. When you walk inside, you are always greeted with kindness and a warm welcome. Craig Phillips, a longtime owner of the Souderton Philly Pretzel Factory, says he hires “the best of the best.” He wants to give his customers the best experience with his workers, and they always pull it off! Brennan says, “I love the staff and the involvement with the community.” These staff members get first-hand experience of serving the community and bringing people together. Community is such an important part of people’s lives, and The Pretzel Factory brings just that. From serving the public to providing for school events in the area, they can bring people together by just selling pretzels. The Philly Pretzel Factory is a great place to go if you are looking for a quick snack. The people care about the community around them, and the pretzels they make bring out a sense of love and togetherness that not every food establishment is able to provide. From a row of pretzels to a tray of rivets, you can be with the people that you love the most with a delicious snack in the middle. Stop by The Philly Pretzel Factory on Route 113 to pick up a snack and be welcomed by the kindness of the employees!
